support our work

BIRTH STORIES, CENTER STAGE.

The generosity of our local and national community enables us to continue our mission of placing reproductive stories in public memory.

Help us bring the work to life

The Birth Play Project is under the fiscal sponsorship of Springboard for the Arts, meaning all contributions are tax-deductible. We entered the world of fundraising for the first time this past November by surpassing our goal on Give to the Max Day. The generosity of our community enables us to continue our mission: your gifts go directly towards paying artists for their labor and renting the spaces where we gather and perform.

Our hopes and dreams for 2025

In 2025, we are focused on the ongoing practice of thought partnership with our associate artists, developing The Birth Play Project’s theory of change and the plan for our next five years of local impact. We will connect with the Twin Cities at large through a series of workshop offerings and an inaugural fundraising event, and we also have a brand new script gestating.

We especially appreciate your support in this transition year, which we are also affectionately calling “The Year Without a Production.” We work hard and we work gently here. We value deep intentionality and the balance between work and rest. If you connect with what we do, please consider a gift! We would be honored by your support.
